AutoNest is a powerful nesting tool, offering a complete range of versatile methods for automatic and manual nesting to achieve the best possible nesting solutions – from rectangular to advanced True Shape.
AutoNest calculates efficient nesting solutions by considering combinations of rotated and mirrored parts, grouping, group arrays, turret-based nesting, part priority, sheet or remnant size and direction and supporting a minimum possible number of SubNests.
Automatic nesting options:
The rectangular nesting strategy treats each part as if it is rectangular in shape.
AutoNest nests the parts according to their bounding rectangle and not according to their contour shape. This approach is faster than using true shapes strategy and finds excellent solutions when the parts are nearly rectangular, or when parts can be grouped into rectangular shapes as in the following example:
AutoNest allows you to choose a nesting strategy for your parts according to their shapes. The True Shape nesting strategy automatically compiles parts on the sheet according to their actual shape, thus maximizing the material usage and creating efficient solutions.

AutoNest identifies available spaces and fills them with parts from the parts list, thus creating efficient solutions and minimizing wastage. This feature can be applied to both True Shape and rectangular nesting strategies. Run the fill holes feature for all SubNests or for selected ones.
AutoNest Pro is an optional module of AutoNest, including an improved True Shape nesting algorithm, what gives the most efficient results.
It allows you to choose the maximum time to run the nesting algorithm. Within this time limit it calculates the best possible nesting solution.
